This Group Calls for Your Help

Two beautiful horses are eagerly waiting to become members of families (or, maybe, members of the same family). One of them is a well-built Sorrel Arabian haflinger named “Azruh” and the other one is a quiet but loving burro mare called “Mama”. Eight years old Azruh is a 14 hands tall bright chestnut colored good looking mare with curious eyes; that’s the impression you will get by watching her photo. Mama seems to be more of a comfort seeking burro mare, who is 11 years old and has a gray color body with a short height; she is an adorable donkey. A cave Creek based rescue and rehabilitation organization in Arizona called ‘Triple R Horse Rescue” is at present taking care of the mares and this group calls for your help in finding the horse and the burro new homes.

Triple R Horse Rescue is located at 6206 East Rockaway Hills Drive, Cave Creek, Arizona. It is a not for profit 501(c)3 organization with a mission to rescue, rehabilitate and relocate (in homes or stables) horses and burros that have been neglected, abused or abandoned. Although the group declares a commitment to dedicate itself in assisting the 175,000 “unwanted” horses from all over the United States, there are other similar organizations throughout the country that are dedicated to the same cause. Triple R Horse Rescue’s Lit Bit Ranch of three acres can give shelter to only a certain number of horses and burros. It only takes care of horses and burros that have been surrendered under the organization’s care.

A couple of months ago (October 11, 2014), Triple R Horse Rescue hosted its 2nd Annual “Hope for Horses Gala” that took place at the Carefree Resort and Conference Center. Response from the surrounding community for the event was overwhelming. The Gala is a perfect event to find a horse that you may like to take home and a much awaited day for the horses and burros that come over there looking for new masters. You are able to check out the personalities of your (to be) equine friends and pick up the one that suits you and your family. The group is happy to build a bridge between you and the animal of your choice. Besides, such events also raise money that is much needed for advancing the organization’s mission. Last year, the group raised more than $20,000 during its 1st Hope for Horses Gala in October.

Horses and burros are the best equine friends humans can come across; it is so unfortunate that so many (175,000) horses are either neglected or abused and a significant number of them are abandoned in one of the richest countries of the world. Many of these “unwanted” horses were sources of joy and fortune for their masters during their golden days. Triple R Horse Rescue is dedicated to a noble cause; they accept critically ill horses, take care of them with proper treatment and nourishment and when the horses recover, they find them new homes. If you are a horse lover, you cannot ignore this group’s appeal if your wallet permits and your family is ready to welcome an equine friend in the house.
