You may have noticed that I've been on a money spending kick lately.
I can't help it. The winter is cold and lonely, and spending money makes the world go round--or it makes us feel better, as brief as it may be.
But it's cold. The horses aren't having a great time, aside from when they decide to play in the snow, of course. So I've taken it upon myself to check out a few new online stores to see what kinds of horse blankets are up for sale this season and decided to share my findings with you!
I'll personally be picking up this one for Misty soon enough!
"Dover Saddlery was founded in 1975 by Jim and David Powers, former members of the USET 3-Day Event Team. After returning from the Olympic Games in Germany in 1972, Jim Powers felt that riders in New England would appreciate a saddlery shop dedicated to providing a broad selection of the best tack available. His vision was to use the knowledge he had gained, from having trained and competed with the best riders around the world, to select and develop the best products for the horse and rider. Soon, David Powers joined Jim with the idea of making the Dover expertise available to equestrians across the country by publishing a comprehensive catalog. "
"Pleasant Ridge Saddlery was started by Lloyd and Sharon Cleaves, in the basement of their home in Brantford in the 1980's. Our first store was located on the family horse farm and moved to our Colborne St. West location in 1993. In the fall of 2012, the store moved to 754 Colborne Street West in Brantford. The store is now managed by Ryan Cleaves, and his crew of dedicated staff of Western and English equestrians."
I'd suggest taking a look at Pleasant Ridge's YouTube, which is linked on their page as well! Both sites are affordable and made with love and care. Your horses are in good hands.
