If you are a horse lover, looking to lavish your love on these graceful creatures, here is a list of places where you can get close and personal to some of the cutest horses and ponies you will ever meet, irrespective of your age.
From meeting the friendly pony Roxy to riding around the North West Ranch, visitors can mingle with these animals only until July 4th. On the flipside, you can enroll yourself at one of the many camps that are conducted at Spring Creek Equestrian Center. However, if you want an experience that is out of the box, try taking a carriage ride pulled by a dainty white Percheron called Grace, along Sawyer’s Red Arrow Highway.
North West Ranch – A Wonder for Young Kids
Designed to have a cowboy themed ground, decked with toys and crafts, you can get a pony ride for a price of $5. For the little ones, entry is absolutely free so don’t hesitate to let them indulge in a day of fun and frolic with their equine buddies.
Located on 2050 West Snow Road, Holly Lippert, an equine dentist, grew up on this family farm and always loved the feel of the place. The four ponies that are especially for children include Ears- who is a mule pony, Abbie- a friendly Shetland, and Blueberry and Kickster- both of whom are used for riding lessons.
Lippert feels they have been blessed to have such good-natured ponies that love interacting with kids. They are neither crabby nor lazy. Roxy, a miniature horse, can usually be found in the petting section of the ranch and is used for charity events. Open from 11 in the morning to 5 in the evening from Wednesday to Sunday, if you want to get close and personal to some cute horses and ponies here, you better visit soon.
