When I started blogging for "OfHorse" I figured I would lose interest after one or two blogs. Here I am after approximately 2 months and 18 blogs later and I still seem to have a lot on my mind. My horses inspire me to write and I try to write from the heart to get and keep the interest of the people reading my blogs. I enjoy sharing my experiences with anybody who will listen (or anyone that pretends to listen).
Blogging makes me feel like I am sharing my dream with the world. I am passionate about all horses. I have a bond with my horses that I have never had with anyone or anything. Harvey, Peanut, Little Bud, and Sierra are my world; my world truly revolves around them. I never thought I would have a horse of my own; to have three horses and a miniature donkey was beyond my wildest dreams. I often think to myself that if this is a dream I don't want to ever wake up.
I hope that blogging about my experiences teaches and inspires other people. If you have read any of my previous blogs you are familiar with the varying personalities of my animals and the trials that I have experienced with them. I wouldn't trade any of it for anything in the world. My horses have had a major influence on the person I am today.
Earning money for my posts also gives me a little bit a nudge when I think there is nothing else to write. I also decided to set rewards for myself for writing, posting on a regular basis and getting my posts promoted to the home page. The first reward I am working towards is a saddle. When I got Harvey, over 8 years ago, I bought a synthetic western saddle. I have taken great care of this saddle and it's still in excellent condition but I finally decided it's time for a new saddle. I found a gorgeous leather saddle that would look really great on Harvey, Peanut, and Sierra. I am really hoping to reward myself with this saddle very soon.
Do all horse people reward themselves with new tack?
