How many of you have ever heard of the Washington International Horse Show? It is a show held at the Verizon Center for an entire week in October. Every year I attend "Barn Night" with my barn and the Friday night high jumping events. It is always a total blast and I love every aspect of the show and I love the environment. It was always a dream to ride in a show like that, or to ride in that show. And now that dream is becoming a reality. Its not just a dream anymore, its a goal. I recently learned that it s possible for me and my horse to qualify to ride in the WIHS this year if we get enough points or compete in the WIHS Regionals which is open to everyone. It is going to be an intense ride up until October of this year, but with my trainer behind me, my friend Ada training with me, and the other person I lease with, Leah, behind me, i know that I can make it there. I am going to work my behind off and whoop my horse into shape and hopefully make a dream of mine come true. So if you have dreams like mine, start realizing that they are a reality, because I never thought this would happen to me, and now I am on my way!

Yes! Send me a full color horse trailer brochure from Featherlite.

Thanks! Your brochure will be on its way shortly.

Good luck in competition.I no longer compete. Our program specialist, the other trainer for our therapeutic riding programs is a professional barrel racing star. My favorite competition is just working and enjoying a nice day with my horses, and those lent to our program. At present we have 24, with nine different owners participating. With all the mud, we have been washing horses clean on these sunny days. To me, better than any of the "wins" I have had over the years, is the soft fluffy feel of clean horse. Until the next morning, when everything not covered by the night blanket is covered in mud again.
